ABOUT NEW FOREST SCHOOL
Our School
New Forest School is an independent specialist provider of education on the edge of the New Forest, Hampshire for children aged from 7-18 who have a range of severe or complex needs arising from life trauma, Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC), attachment disorder or a phobia of education.
We are part of New Forest Care, a specialist care provider for young people and adults. The school is registered with the DfE to provide up to 100 places for boys and girls from a wide range of neighbouring local authorities.
New Forest School evidences and supports a statutory duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. We believe that all children have the right to be safe. We recognise that we have a duty to ensure effective arrangements are in place for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children by creating a positive and transparent school atmosphere. We do this by monitoring our practice and providing comprehensive up to date training for staff. We also provide well-informed pastoral support for pupils and their families.
We are committed to establishing and maintaining effective procedures for safer recruitment and inter-agency working relationships.

The school has excellent facilities and resources and you can be confident that we are well equipped to support your child’s needs.
Our split site school comprises of four school sites:
- Fawley Site: Key Stage 2.
- Dibden Site: Key Stage 3 & 4.
- Totton Site: Key Stage 3 & 4.
- Outdoor Learning Centre: Key Stage 2 & 3.
Students from all school sites also benefit from access to facilities at our:
- School Farm
- Outdoor Learning Centre
- Construction Hub.
Structure
Our school registration currently allows for 100 students between the ages of 7-18 as follows:
Junior School:
Key Stage 2: Year 3 to Year 6
Senior School:
Key Stage 3: Year 7 to Year 9
Key Stage 4: Year 10 to Year 11
Post 16: Year 12 to Year 13
