DofE: We have a thriving Duke of Edinburgh Award Group with students regularly completing Bronze and Silver Awards.
Resources
Students have access to the following and facilities resources to support their learning:
Calshot Activity Centre: A multi activity outdoor centre offering land and water activities which our teachers can deliver.
Outdoor Learning Centre: Our own small centre which provides access to a number of OED activities and bushcraft/forest school.
The New Forest: On our door step and used regularly for bushcraft, forest school and navigation based activities.
Career Opportunities
Past students have gone on to study Outdoor Education at further education colleges. For most students, the skills developed within outdoor education (especially if combined with a Bronze or Silver Duke of Edinburgh award) provide useful experience/skills to bolster a CV when applying for any future course or job opportunity.
