JUNIORS
Junior School Aims
At New Forest School we design and deliver a broad, balanced and diverse curriculum – tailored to meet the individual needs of our pupils and their Personal Development.
Whilst working within the fundamentals and framework of the Primary National Curriculum; our Key Stage 2 children’s learning experience is deepened through a meaningful, therapeutic, sensory and practical approach – enabling access to all learning opportunities.
As part of an enriched curriculum, we pride ourselves on our excellent Outdoor Education provision, including Forest Schools, Learning Outside the Classroom opportunities and our very own working farm.
We also strive to build strong community links, where citizenship, collaboration and positive role modelling are encouraged. Essentially, our curriculum is designed to facilitate learning and empower our children to take ownership over its direction, with an overriding ethos and emphasis in developing and promoting independent, confident and resilient young people.
